My favorite part about ES lore is that no one ever blames the game’s writers for an inconsistency or hole. It’s either an unreliable narrator or something lost to time, like the title “Taskmaster.” It makes the lore feel incredibly immersive and realistic

Think how cool it'd be to have some of the lost races of tamriel resurrected or recreated by new magics by the time Elder Scrolls 6 comes around. Who knows how much time could pass. If they keep with skyrims time jump, it could be 200 years or so. All it takes is one crazy wizard in that time to bring back the snow elves, these guys, or even the dwemer.

I think the Thalmor would have a much greater magic focus than what’s represented here. They’re more attuned to magic on a personal and public level, so there would be more mages and the best mages would be even stronger
